Greendrive is an innovative platform which enables everyone to share rides. It is particularly well suited for sharing commuting rides.
With a smartphone you can use the apps for Android (Google Play Store) or iPhone (Apple App Store). On desktop machines just browse to https://greendrive.at. We recommend the desktop view for group administration or if you have a smartphone like Windows Phone for which we don't offer a native app.
The company Greendrive Mobility GmbH develops the software and operates the service on their servers in a German data center.
End users can use Greendrive for free! We offer companies a premium package as part of their operational mobility management regarding its employees.
We require a registration with your full name because this increases the trust our users have in others.
We take data privacy protection very seriously and never release your personal information to third parties (be it for advertising purposes or others). The data that we collect are limited to those which are required for matching rides. Other users can view your contact information (e.g., e-mail and phone number) only after you have confirmed sharing the ride.
Definitely! Since commuters represents the group with the highest demand for ride sharing they are our primary target. Companies can subscribe to a premium package, which contains among other things continuous reporting, creation of groups, extended support and much more. Upon request we are also happy to provide individual adjustments such as the integration of public transport or fleet management.
As a passenger you are insured through the driver's car liability insurance.
Select the tab "Offer Ride" with the steering wheel icon. Then specify the ride details, enter the starting and destination address, departure time, number of free seats and confirm the offer. You might need to log in with your e-mail-address and password first.
If there is already a suitable ride request we show it directly on the page in the tab "Suggested Passengers". Otherwise you will receive a push notification when someone requests a ride which matches your offer (alternatively an SMS or e-mail).
Once Greendrive matched you with a passenger, you can chat with each other in the smartphone apps. After you both confirmed sharing the ride, the contact details of your passenger are displayed.
Select the tab "Search Ride" with the passenger icon. Then specify the travel details, with starting and destination addresses, the departure time hit search. You might need to log in with your e-mail-address and password first.
Suitable ride offer are displayed immediately in the search results. If none suits you, post your search as a ride request and you will receive push notification when someone offers a ride that matches your request (alternatively an SMS or e-mail).
Once Greendrive matched you with a driver, you can chat with each other in the smartphone apps. After you both confirmed sharing the ride, the contact details of your driver are displayed.
